For my last birthday, me and mum headed into London for a day of girly fun!
We started off with some shopping in Selfridges, and spent a while lusting after some of the beautiful evening dresses with huge price tags. After a bit of retail therapy we stopped for some sushi and then some champagne at Hix in the store.
Feeling suitably relaxed, we dashed out into the chilly autumn air for the quick walk over to Claridges for some more bubbles and afternoon tea! Claridges is beautiful, we had tea in the main foyer and had great seats right in the middle. This place is a people watching heaven! We started with some Laurent Perrier rose champagne and a selection of sandwiches and savoury pastries.
Once we had devoured a few rounds of sandwiches, our plates were whisked away and instantly replaced with steaming pots of tea and a very generous selections of scones and patisserie.
Feeling fit to burst, we managed somehow to find some more room when I was presented with a lovely special birthday cake with candle!
I highly recommend the afternoon tea at Claridges, just make sure you book in advance as it was totally full.
After falling into a taxi, we met dad at our final destination of the day: Queens Theatre for Les Miserables! I have wanted to see this for years (big musical fan) and was not disappointed. What a wonderful day with my family, I was well and truly spoiled!
