Pennyhill Park Spa Day

A few months back, me, my mum and my aunty booked a girls spa day at Pennyhill Park hotel. Me and mum had been here previously and vowed to come back with my aunty.

Pennyhill Park is more a resort than a hotel. Nestled in the 123 acres of Surrey countryside, it’s comprised of the 5 star hotel, the 2 Michelin star Latymer restaurant and the “UK’s most excellent spa”. When we arrived, there was a lot of security and tv cameras, and we were informed that the hotel was being used to accommodate a well known American NFL team. Ahem, thank you god!

We started our day of pampering with a 3 course meal at the Latymer Restaurant, which turned into more like 6 courses – I’m surprised I didn’t sink in the pool. With 2 Michelin stars it’s unsurprising that the food is To. Die. For. Sorry about the rubbish photos but you get the idea.

Feeling very content after a beautiful meal, we strolled through the hotel grounds towards the spa which has it’s own separate wing. This has got to be the spa to rule all spas – 45000 square feet, 8 pools, a gazillion different steam rooms and saunas, a restaurant, and a maze of treatment rooms.

We spent the rest of the day trying out all the different pools, relaxing in the outdoor jacuzzis, lounging in our fluffy white robes, snoozing on the gel beds in the relaxation room (yes really it’s like a dorm for adults) and generally feeling extremely relaxed and happy.

I had a seriously good full body massage, and mum and aunty raved about their facials. Everything about the spa is 5 star, from the decor, to the facilities, the staff, everything! It’s not cheap, but worth every penny in my opinion.
