I am a beauty product junkie, and love nothing more than getting a sneaky peek into what products other people are loving. So here are a few of my current hair/beauty/make-up must haves!
Olaplex no. 3. Now I haven’t tried either 1 or 2, but I feel like using Olaplex no. 3 in-between colour services really helps to keep my hair looking and feeling healthy. It’s quite pricey but if you have chemically damaged hair I think it’s worth the splurge.
Redken conditioning masks. My absolute favourite Redken mask was called the Real Control mask. It came in a purple tub and did wonders for my hair, but they seem to have discontinued it sadly. I have moved on to the Colour Extend Magnetics deep conditioning mask which is almost as good! I love using a hair mask once a week while I have a bath, it feels very pampering!
Label M Honey & Oat shampoo and conditioner. Mainly (entirely) because of the smell. Wow this stuff smells amazing! Makes my hair feel nice too…
Anything Liz Earle! I was introduced to Liz Earle cleanse and polish about 4 years ago and I’ve never looked back! I own pretty much the entire Liz Earle range, but my favourites would have to be their Superskin Moisturiser (unscented), Superskin Eye Cream, their entire Vanilla and Saffron range (I’m a bit worried that I haven’t seen this on their website for a while, I hope this hasn’t been discontinued too!), and their classic cleanse and polish. Although those are my favourites, I honestly haven’t tried a Liz Earle product that I don’t like. I highly recommend this brand, but I have to stock up whenever I’m in the UK as they don’t sell it in Australia.
Soleil Tan de Chanel. I bought this cream to powder bronzer having seen in on Pinterest, and honestly it exceeded my expectations. It gives you a really subtle sunkissed effect, doesn’t look orange, and doesn’t go cakey over liquid foundation. Definitely a staple product in my make-up bag.
Clinique High Impact Mascara. I have to admit that I am blessed in the lash department, but I feel a good mascara can make the world of difference. This is one of my favourites, but Chanel Le Volume and Dior Blackout Diorshow are up there too! Mascara is definitely one make-up item I won’t scrimp on, I genuinely don’t think drugstore products compare.
Chi Chi CC Cream. I saw this recommended on Youtube and was a bit iffy about the brand but tried it anyway and I absolutely LOVE it. It gives really nice coverage, whilst still being very moisturising and not cakey at all. Better than any of the other BB creams I’ve tried (and that is a lot), and much cheaper too.
Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer. Holy. Grail. Just go and buy it, enough said. Have been using for years and none of the high end brands compare at all.
Dior Addict Lip Glow Colour Awakening. This is pricey for what is essentially a lipbalm, but god it’s good. Smells nice and sweet, and gives your lips a wash of sheer pink glossy colour. Basically your lips, but better. Will re-purchase for sure.
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush. I use this in the colour radiant magenta which sounds mildly terrifying, but actually gives a really sheer pink glow to your cheeks. It doesn’t leave a powdery/glittery residue, and just leaves you looking flushed and healthy. Again on the pricey side, but blush lasts me years so I don’t mind.
Laura Mercier Illuminating Tinted Moisturiser. I use the colour warm radiance. This gives me a bronzey, healthy, glowy skin and I have re-purchased this numerous times. Definitely very low coverage, and I recommend setting your t-zone with a dust of powder or you can end up looking a bit oily. What I wear everyday.
As I mentioned earlier, I am slightly obsessed with the scent of the Liz Earle Vanilla and Saffron range. It’s like nothing I’ve smelt before, and just makes me instantly happy! These are definitely my favourite shower gel and body lotion.
St Tropez Self Tan in Dark. Self confessed fake tan addict. Have used many, and my favourite brand does tend to change on a monthly basis, but at the moment I’m loving the St Tropez dark lotion. Gives a really natural colour.
Lush! Man I love Lush. Bath bombs, bubble bars, balistics, I’ll take it all. There is nothing better than a big bubbly bath with some candles lit, my favourite way to unwind.
Molton Brown Ylang-Ylang Hand Cream. I keep a tube of this on my desk at all times. I love the scent (the room spray of this is lovely too), and feel like this is really moisturising without leaving a greasy residue after application.
Well this turned out to be a really long post and probably one I’ll repeat in the future as I just love talking about this stuff! Hope you all enjoyed 🙂
