Go-To Skincare

Having been sucked in by so many rave reviews on Instagram and Snapchat of Go-To Skincare, I decided to bite the bullet and place an order. Created by Zoe Foster-Blake (who, incidentally, I love), it’s a cruelty free range of natural skincare, with oh so cute packaging and very clever marketing. Check them out at www.gotoskincare.com.

Whilst I wanted to order the whole range, my bank balance had other ideas, so I limited myself to getting “Face-Hero” and “Lips!” – a face oil and a lip balm.

I have incredibly dry dehydrated skin so always lean towards oils and very heavy creams as they pack the biggest moisture punch. And Face-Hero has not disappointed! A mix of Almond oil, jojoba oil, macadamia oil, brazil nut oil, evening primrose oil, buriti oil, arnica oil, rosehip oil, calendula oil, kiwi fruit seed oil, tocopherol (vitamin e), totarol, and rosemary leaf extract, it smells divine. A lovely light oil, it sinks into my skin quite quickly, without leaving a greasy residue. I primarily use this at night and wake up with baby soft skin in the morning, but you would be able to wear it under make-up no problem unless you have quite oily skin anyway.

I ordered the lip balm because you can never have enough lip balms (amiright?). And Lips! is definitely my new favourite, it comes everywhere with me. It’s a lovely soft formula and not sticky at all, and it smells (and tastes) delicious – it contains apricot, yum! One of the main ingredients is lanolin – the holy grail of lip balm components, it softens even the naughtiest of lips. Basically this stuff is great, go buy it, I can’t get enough!

I’ve been so impressed with both of these products and can’t wait to try out the rest of the range! The fact that it’s natural and cruelty free adds an extra feeling of smugness when slathering it on.

Have any of you tried this range? Do you have any recommendations?
