Snoozy Sunday curled up on the sofa in my pj’s, planning next week’s menu. This is my favourite recipe book at the moment. I think it’s written by a Swedish chef, and has lots of lovely light summery meals.
Sunday soaks in a bubbly tub.
T made us a stonking lasagne one night this week, and I took it for lunch a few days too. Not very healthy, but oh well!
How pretty is this background – it makes me feel happy just looking at it!
Nothing better than hopping into bed with fresh sheets, mmmmmmmmmmmmm.
Saturday we went for dinner at Gerard’s Bistro in Brisbane. It was named Queensland’s Best Restaurant this year, so we were excited to try it. We had the coal grilled octopus, crispy garlicy potato cubes, trout tartare in betel leaves, incredible cauliflower in a tahini sauce with pomegranate, and bekaa (chicken) wings.
On Sunday we went for brunch with T’s sister at Famished on Fraser’s in Ashgrove. I had the banana french toast with bacon and chocolate ice cream (!), and T had the epic beef brisket burger with mac & cheese – wow! This is one of our favourite brunch places, and they’re always changing the menu, so there’s always something new to try.
