For those non-Aussies, Mecca Maxima is a beauty junkies nirvana. Similar to Sephora, but with slightly different brands, it’s one of those shops you always enter with great intentions but leave $200 poorer.
I visited the Wintergarden store recently, and wanted to share my purchases with you all!
The Clinique mascaras were a duty-free pressy from Mama, they should keep me going for a while! I recommend trying their High Impact Mascara if you haven’t already – great for sensitive eyes, lengthening, thickening and separating, what more do you want?!
Next we have the YSL Touche Eclat Blur Perfector. Mainly for the packaging, let’s be real. I’ve wanted this for a while, it’s like it was made for flat lays. So far I’ve used it as a mattifying primer, and my make-up did seem to glide on nicely over the top.
I saw Lauren Curtis use the Smashbox BB water in one of her videos and loved the natural dewy finish, and so far I really rate it. It gives me a nice wash of colour, and light to medium coverage, exactly what I want for an everyday product.
I’m a bit late to the Too Faced party, but so far I like what I’m seeing. I’ve been using the same under-eye concealer for years, and it seems that there have been some big changes! The Born This Way concealer is creamy, easy to blend, hydrating (that’s a first), gives great coverage, and doesn’t seem to crease as much as others. I’m a big fan! I got the colour light.
Lastly I picked up the Too Faced Hangover Primer. Anything that’s supposed to improve my post weekend, dehydrated skin is a winner in my book. So far I’m impressed – it felt moisturising on my dry skin without being greasy, and the subtle coconut scent is delicious.
Have you tried any of these? Or have any beauty recommendations for me? I love trying new products! xxx
