I feel like I haven’t done a new-in post for a while, so let’s discover my new beauty crushes!
Firstly I did it. I took the plunge and invested in the By Terry Cellularose Brightening CC Lumi Serum – phew, what a mouthful! I purchased it in the shade Sunny Flash, and I do really love it. A couple of pumps applied to the skin like moisturiser before any make-up just gives my skin a healthy, luminous and tanned glow that I haven’t found in any other product! The price tag is a little hefty, but I feel like the bottle will last me a loooong time (it better), and to me it’s worth it!
Next we have the Kiehl’s Amino Acid Shampoo and Conditioner. Would it be weird if I said I had always wanted to try these since reading the Gossip Girl books when I was a teenager and discovering it was Blair’s fave shampoo? Yes, it would be weird. Whatever, these smell great (coconut), and everyone deserves to feel a bit more Queen B, right?
Next up is the Benefit Porefessional Primer. I am well aware how late to the party I am with this, but I’m pretty happy I made it. I don’t wear a primer on a daily basis, but this works so well for me under full-coverage foundation on a weekend or night out. With a heavier foundation I usually find it actually emphasises my pores and fine lines, but the Porefessional essentially fills in those pores and lines, and gives a much smoother overall effect. I’m sold!
When I got my make-up done at Napoleon I grabbed a couple of bits – their Ultimate Contour Palette and their Luminous Lip Veil in Pretty in Peach. To be honest, I was caught on the hop and chose these things pretty much at random. The contour palette is ok – the powders are nicely pigmented and I like the highlighter, but the design of the little stripes makes it hard to get only one colour on your brush which is irritating. The lip veil is a nice colour and consistency (not sticky), but I have 10 others like it so wish I had spent a little longer browsing!
My wonderful Mama bought me a big batch of my favourite shower gel from the UK – Imperial Leather Comforting Marshmallow. This is the yummiest sweet but not too sweet shower gel EVER, anyone know where I can get it in Aus?! It now comes in a bubble bath too which my mum is kindly hoarding for me in the UK. Also, it’s cheap as chips, win!
Victoria’s Secret Eau So Sexy – T bought me some VS goodies back from the airport recently, and this fragrance was one of them. It is such a lovely sweet and sort of musky scent, and I can’t stop spritzing myself! The only downside is, being a cheaper scent, it doesn’t have much staying power. Still totally delicious though!
